Things are going along very well so far this year and currently we have 132 members enrolled which includes 20 new members; as a comparison, at this time last year, there were 118 enrolments.
At the recent committee meeting it was decided to ask members to suggest any new activities they would like to see included as U3A offerings so if you have any suggestions, please send these via e-mail to u3acorangamite@gmail.com or speak to a committee member.
The Committee also looked at an article on the topical issue of Scam Awareness that was published in the U3A Port Fairy Newsletter; this arose from a U3A Network webinar on scams. As it is such an important issue, full details are given later in the newsletter.
Via U3A Colac Otway, we have been invited to participate in a visit in May to the Hycel Project at Deakin University’s Warrnambool campus. There are 30 places in total and Colac Otway is offering 10 places for U3A Corangamite members. Information on the project is given later in the newsletter and if interested in this visit, members are asked to contact the Secretary on 0429 951 643 or on u3acorangamite@gmail.com, who will send details to U3A Colac Otway.
