Welcome back to all of our 2019 members and especially to our new members. At this stage we have 120 members signed up which is fantastic. Of course we’d love it if even more people enjoyed our activities so it would be terrific if you could share this newsletter with a friend and indeed bring the friend(s) to the course enrolment day.
Details of the AGM/Course Enrolment Day are:
Date: Friday 31st January 2020
Venue: Civic Centre, High Street, Terang
12.30 Member Enrolment for 2020 (for those who haven’t yet enrolled and new/prospective members)
Members who have re-enrolled already can come and collect their new membership card in the hour before the AGM. It will also be a good time to catch up with everyone and ask questions about any of the offerings to help with your course choice or about becoming a Committee member.
- For current members please bring your lanyard for re-use
- Any new members will receive a membership card and lanyard
1.30 Annual General Meeting
There is a nomination form attached to this newsletter if you would like to be involved as a Committee member. Some of our current members will give you an idea of what we do at committee meetings.
1.45pm Speaker: A representative of the Cobden and Camperdown Community Bank (Bendigo Bank)
2.00pm Course enrolment: in the foyer area (same as in 2019) and afternoon tea provided by the Fabulous Rustic Tarts! (Remember our Christmas lunch)
In this newsletter you will see the courses that are available for the start of the year with the necessary booking details etc. These are also listed in the calendar for February and March. At the meeting Leaders\Contact people will outline their course details.
A special thank you must go out to U3A member Colin Hayman who has audited the U3A Corangamite accounts for 2019 to ensure our compliance with Consumer Affairs Victoria.
This year we have been very fortunate to have obtained a 3-year partnership with the Cobden and Camperdown Community Bank (Bendigo Bank). This is an amazing deal that will enable us to add to our already terrific array of programs. As they are the only Community Bank in the Shire we ask you to drop in at some stage to see their variety of accounts, insurance offerings and banking in general. Also we are being financially supported by Helloworld Travel in Camperdown. They are our only Shire travel agency so we ask that you consider contacting them to help with any travel plans you may have. Both the Bendigo Bank and Helloworld Travel will have displays at our AGM.
