Bike Ride – February 3rd
The weather was perfect for the bike ride today. Starting at Glenfyne Hall the cyclists rode up the Rail Trail to Linda and Claude Castaldo’s farm where they were treated to a wonderful morning tea and tour of the farm.
Thanks heaps Linda and Claude. Your hospitality was .
Walk – 9th February
It was very pleasant walking weather today on Mt Noorat. Pity about the flies!!
A cuppa at The Shed finished off an excellent morning.
Tea and Tour for Ten – Friday 11th
We had a super, dooper afternoon at Gorge Chocolates and Alpacas today. This is Victoria’s largest alpaca stud and Australia’s largest Siri alpaca stud. Matt who looks after the alpacas was so informative and entertaining and so willing to answer all our questions.
Definitely recommend a visit if you haven’t been here yet!!
16th February – Birdwatching
What a perfect day for bird watching and taking photos. Expert Helen Langley helped us focus our binoculars and pointed out the different birds. Reference books were available and Ian McConnell was also on hand to answer questions. We finished off with a well deserved coffee, scones and orange cake at Lake Edge Cafe. Thanks Helen and Sue for a super outing.
17th February – Movie and Lunch
Wow what a turn out today!!
17 members enjoyed a tasty lunch and the movie “The Banger Sisters”. Thanks to Les for his hospitality at the Terang Commercial Hotel.
February 25th – Travel Tales
Our first Travel Tales for 2022 was presented by Mary and Merv Holloway who gave us a very interesting program on British Columbia, Alaska and Canada which was very much appreciated by our members. Thanks heaps Mary and Merv and all the helpers who made todays session possible. Afternoon tea followed the program.
28th February – Let’s Do Lunch
Today our members really enjoyed our first Let’s Do Lunch for 2022 at Waves Restaurant in Port Campbell. We chose Waves as they had supported our Timboon Mahjong group through the pandemic.
18 members dined, drank and shared lots of stories and laughter. The food was delicious and we were well looked after by Heidi. Thanks to Waves for looking after us.
