2nd March – Bike Ride
The Terang to Noorat bike ride for Helen, Karen and Barb went via Karen’s garden and the lucky ladies got some free plants.
Thanks Helen for arranging another good time together.
8th March
What a wonderful afternoon we spent with Jenny Bongers today.
Jenny from jennyloveflowers in Jancourt East told us about her florist business and showed us how to create a floral arrangement. We had so much fun thanks to Jenny. The afternoon finished off with a walk around the garden and afternoon tea. A super way to spend an afternoon
9th March – Hike
Today’s walk was such a lovely time. The walkers enjoyed the scenery along the way from Merretts Rd to the trestle bridge and back. Ten kilometres in total. We’ll done walkers! It was perfect weather and there were plenty of laughs and chatter along the way.
10th March
Damon Hinkley- Community Support Officer for Ambulance Victoria showed us how to use a Defib machine today, talked us through many and varied scenarios and answered all our questions. A valuable and informative program. Thanks so much Damon.
18th March – Friday Forum
Friday Forum today featured “The Stick Shed” in Murtoa.
Anne Gready was a volunteer there for 15 years and so was able to tell us lots of history, information and stories about the shed. It was a great program. Thanks heaps Anne.
If you haven’t visited The Stick Shed it’s definitely worth the trip.
18th March – Movie Matinee
Our Movie Matinee today at Terang’s Commercial Hotel had our host Les not only providing a scrumptious lunch but the showing of the movie “Dead Poet’s Society”.
A movie masterpiece with a great performance from Robin Williams. Thank you Les for a terrific afternoon.
Our next Movie Matinee in April will be another great movie – The Piano.
25th March – Travel Tales
Our Travel Tales program took a different direction today. We had some of our members and guests share their personal travel highlights and/or dramas. Lots of laughs, interesting stories and fascinating incidents …and of course afternoon tea.
