On Wednesday we had 7 members hike up and around the crater at Mt Elephant finishing off with a cuppa at the Visitor Centre. A very enjoyable outing in perfect weather.
May 16th – Tea and Tour for $10
Wow!! What an outing today. Our members thoroughly enjoyed their visit to the robotic dairy in Mepunga owned by Paul Smith.
Paul gave us a really interesting talk on how and why he built this robotic dairy then let us watch the the afternoon milking procession. 720 cows !!….one milker !!
This is the only robotic milking dairy of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere!
Thanks heaps Paul for providing us with such a fascinating & enjoyable experience
