12th May – Let’s Do Lunch
What a super afternoon and lunch our members had at The Old Noorat Bakery.
Hosted by owners Julie and Jim our members were treated to a tour of the house and collection of old books and beautiful china. The chandelier was stunning!
The table was set for a delicious meal….and even had records as placemats! Entertainment during lunch was by pianist and singer John Watson.
Thank you so much Julie and Jim for your wonderful hospitality and to John for his entertainment.
This Old Noorat Bakery is an historical gem

Well done Gwen and singers
May 14th – Tea and Tour for $10
Another wonderful outing for U3A. We visited the Mt Elephant Hotel in Derrinallum and were treated to an afternoon tea of fresh & toasted sandwiches, soup, scones and a cuppa.
Manager John Northey gave us an entertaining and informative talk about his early life in Derri, his AFL career as a player and coach & his love of working with disability students.
The hotel renovations look great!
